The Leadership Lab is a regional educational experience focused on connecting PA educators through leadership. The Lab is PAEA’s newest professional development offering, created to explore innovation in leadership at both the personal and institutional level. The Leadership Lab will offer opportunities for faculty to network, provide targeted leadership development, and give faculty the chance to present spotlight discussions on focused topical areas. The lab will convene PAEA Board and volunteer leaders with PA faculty leaders in an intimate setting.

Part 1 of the Leadership Lab is focused on yourself as a leader and is centered on The Leadership Challenge® model.

The Leadership Challenge, grounded in the award-winning book by the same name, is a results-proven leadership development model created by authors Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner and backed by over 30 years of original research and data from more than 3 million leaders. The Leadership Challenge Workshop serves as a catalyst for profound leadership transformations in organizations of all sizes and in all industries. Centered around the Five Practices: Model the Way, Challenge the Process, Inspire a Shared Vision, Enable Others to Act, and Encourage the Heart, the workshop delivers a measurable, teachable, and learnable approach to leadership.

Part 2 of the Leadership Lab is focused on applying leadership to PA education specifically and will feature interactive, participant-driven exercises.
